Thread regarding UPS layoffs

This was to be expected

It's the nature of the beast. They over-hire when there's demand and fire when business slows down. I hope everybody knows this and has been preparing for something like this. I only wish they'd show the door to people who were hired recently to fill the demand instead of getting rid of folks who've been here for years or even decades.

"Gouging grocery prices..." Grocery stores have extremely low margins.

There are too many dollars chasing too few products. If you want this to change, tell your Congress critter to stop the spending.

Gouging grocery prices by Big Wal is causing no money leftover for spending on other purchases. This is the core reason UPS volume is down and therefore looms lay offs. Greedy gouging.

Seniority only applies if you are Union. Otherwise ... a tissue blown away in the wind no matter how hard you try to work.

We all have no value to companies, but the dollar sure does. Remember that when they try to rush you around and make your job miserable. Work at your own safe pace.
