Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Are you proud to work at Ford?

Basically title, the morale here seems low

I am shocked at the lack of pride in this forum.

Our company has excelled in DEI initiatives and is working diligently to combat climate change.

What more do you people want??

I used to be but not anymore. I used to hype up products to friends and family but I honestly cannot recommend most of what we make nowadays. Quality is too poor and prices are too high.

I work my a** off everyday to improve these things but there are so many roadblocks in this company. Even my own management gets in the way simply to protect themselves and play political games.

Between the way Ford has handled layoffs, RTO, and generally dehumanizing the workforce, I don’t know what there is to be proud of these days.

I love my job at Ford. I only come here to read what BS trolls try to stir up.

Why do we get so sentimental about our jobs? Do you need to be endlessly inspired to do productive work, or is making a good living good enough for you? If you need something beyond what a good paying job affords...then go start your own business...live your dreams. Otherwise you are just being a lunchbox.

I was up until 5-6 years ago. Hackett and firing pension eligible employees did it in for me. That Bill stood by and allowed that is unconscionable.

I was proud when I started. Now not so much.
