If you are worried about offshoring, then intentionally sabotaging your peers from India, etc is the wrong way to try and handle the issue. It just makes you look bad when you're caught. Kudos to the person who keeps posting about contacting US Govt reps, but that's a major longshot.
Think of XOM like an organism that only exists to turn money into more money. As long as the cost effective choice is to swap a high paid skill set for an equivalent skill set that costs less, the decision will be made to do so.
The best course of action that works to the benefit of all workers is to encourage a healthy job market in the offshore work centers. For example, Chevron opening up a center in Bangalore drives of competition for talent and increases wages for skill sets. My advice for my colleagues is to check in with the recruiters who can get you into other IOC centers and see what salaries they offer. You get a higher wage that will outpace XOM raises. There is so much ceiling room in terms of what you can be paid and still be the cost effective choice.. it really only makes sense that the company will agree to wage increases (up to a point).
Good luck.
