This is why Ford is getting rid of older American employees.

It is difficult for many to understand the strategy, but Ford is not going to sell vehicles that most Americans can afford.

We sell aspirational mobility. The young and affluent customer will carry us into the future.

We will sell fewer vehicles but make significantly more profit on each one sold.

Most Americans will purchase their Ford products through our pre-owned dealership network.

The "furniture guy" Joshua Doore was found in the trunk of a Lincoln.

@1fes+1unKh6wp - a-plan used to be good, then came the furniture guy and decided to stop giving good discounts to employees.

The problem lies with bloated management and lack of desire to innovate. Ford just became a supplier management company and the engineers just became too comfortable with giving orders to suppliers rather than focusing or understanding quality. Now the rug is being pulled from under everyone and we are realizing how sh---y our products are compared to other companies. Outsourcing is not the answer we need to hire people with intent from top down and be clear about what we want to build and support. Doing this with overseas or h1b workforce is impossible and takes too much time which we don't have. With new AI tools at our disposal and the right people we can have 1 American worker do the work of 10 overseas workers if the management provides clear direction and will power. But that won't happen so ford will continue to bleed money.

Before COVID shutdown. Building 3 in Dearborn was major H1B visa land. And they had flyers posted asking for more.

Whats a joke is I can go buy almost any competitors product for thousands less then the a-plan price. And thats msrp vs a-plan. Plus with them outsourcing all the salaried work overseas, I dont consider them an american company anymore. Stellantis is doing the same as Ford. Looking to gut as many american workers as possible and move the work to there other employees overseas. Plus theres rumors now of moving the Corsair to china in another year. Ford is going to have more vehicles built in mexico and china than the usa.

Ford blows anyway. The vehicles are ugly & overpriced. Not to mention it's built by useless union employees who don't care. Which is why they have so many recalls. Maybe if the get vehicles built in mexico we can get a vehicle that lasts and is affordable. Unions take notice. This is what you did
