No matter what happens today or in the next few weeks/months, your plan should be to leave as soon as possible. Those who have been paying attention know that there's no future here. It's much better and safer to leave on your own terms than wait to be kicked out.

My manger is basically acting like things might get better after these layoffs. I guess having false hope is one way to cope. In the past the company sent out questionnaires asking how the company is doing and ways they could improve. Im waiting for that email any day now. So tone deaf at this point.
If I personally survive both the upcoming cuts and the inevitable cuts when Skydance fully takes over, then I'll stay and see if Skydance can run things better (I'm sure they will, regardless of the company configuration they ultimately implement).
Clearly the reason we're all on here is due to severe mismanagement.
If you’re in line for a severance package, and can stomach how bad it is now, it’s not the worst thing to wait this out. Sure, if there’s an incredible opportunity to get out - by all means get the he-l out - but for most of us, there’s not a ton of opportunities out there for the taking at the moment.
I'm going down with this ship, I need that severance package!! I have to take some time off before starting a new job or my family will 5150 me!!
