Unbelievable that M Murphy is still around! Yet another one of the best IT leaders in 3M announced he was leaving today. All the talent that was developed as the next leaders has effectively left. Anyone that climbs the ranks and interacts with Murphy decides to leave his toxicity.

I am starting hear that Casey is leaving 3M soon. Is there any truth to this? I worked for him for years, and he is one of the last one that truly cares for his employees, and actually demands his teams create value to 3M (he reminds us all the time to create value). Wake up 3M, don't let any more of the good ones leave!
What is the basis for suggesting there is IT greatness at 3M?

Hiring from the outside of 3M is the go to strategy for the last 5 to 10 years. It's the strategy that made 3M the success it is today.
Just keep in mind that once you join the 3M ranks, you will be valued less and less. Hating 3M is part of the new 3M culture. A self defeating strategy that is firmly in place.
