Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Check your Code24 backup settings -indication that they are letting you go ?!

I just looked at it (Windows user here) and I wanted to see if certain files (study notes) that I deleted from my computer are backed up by Code24.
I think that before I had the option to select what I needed to be backed up
Now it is all greyed out and I can't select anything -so that is your indication that yu are on the list

Please check and confirm or infirm here, in particular if you know that you will be listed and these are not disabled for you

They now stamp every Office file that you touch with "Cisco Confidential" and write it into the headers/footers and metadata. Just opening a file read-only is enough to get it updated. They buried the notification that they were going to do that in the _Keep Cisco Safe_ newsletter on 4-Jun-2024.
So, you're toast already.

B$ -what matter is the content of the doc
They can't charge you for a doc that is empty or it contains public data just because it is labeled Cisco confidential

They have to go back and show that that info is in fact in a branded doc and and stamped confidential and it is only there and nowhere else or never shared externally.

My laptop booted one (1) second longer this time. That is an indication that some layoff software package got installed and auto-started. I can not come up with another explanation.

Please check and confirm or infirm here, in particular if you know that you will be listed and this longer boot time is permanent.

Only be worried if you see Windows Powershell running

They changed it about 2 years ago to take away any user control. But, if you don't ever set it up in the first place, then it leaves you alone. Of course, it probably still monitors all your file access.
BTW - check those files of yours and make sure that Office didn't write "Cisco Confidential" all through them (yes, they do that to every file you open).
