Streaming Tech has way more contractors than employees. For now
I had no idea P+ relied on so many contractors. Long before the layoffs were announced, I had the sense that the streaming was too big, and there's way too much over-communication. It gets in the way of getting work done.
@ond+1uey09rs Can confirm. I work in streaming and roughly half of my team are contractors. Just the contractors alone are all getting cut, and we don’t even know the fate of FTE’s in my team yet. It’s crazy out here and 9/24 isn’t even here
@xiy+1uey09rs Just like Nick, streaming marketing (and others in streaming) are going to be badly hit. The last I heard streaming was going to be cut 50%+
Anyone here know how marketing under TR DD is faring ?
At first it seemed all was well - now people are more ominous
If anyone can share current head count under Tom Ryan/Vibol, and what head count will remain after the bloodbath, that would be great.
@woc+1uey09rs Any idea to what degree developers/software engineers will be impacted? Even if not affected, sick and tired of instability of this company and current threat of being let go. Doesn't make for a pleasant environment to work in. It robs energy which could be put to use towards creativity.
9/24 some SVPs and below, all FTE. I would suggest the advanced tech team to start looking
what do you mean their reports are getting gutted? Do you mean the SVPs or below them?
@ppn+1uey09rs
Is it on 9/24 ? Contractors and FTE’s?
Good luck to you all. Tom Ryan / Vibol’s reports is getting gutted in the next wave
