I’m an FTE but am a close friend with 2 contractors. Both of them got notified today that their assignment will end Sept 30th
Don’t know anything else or if more contractors will start to be notified soon. Just putting the word out there

@srs+1uet6pxn Thanks for that. See that's my fear. Even if I survive the massive layoffs, I'm wary of staying here because it will turn into more of a s*it-show than it already is. I think I've pretty much made my mind up that I'll leave at the end of September no matter what (either by choice or by being let go) but not earlier because I don't want to pass up a potential severance package.
Its inclusive of all staff aug contractors but not vendor contractors like LTI. Yes these contractors - ones i know are high performers and hard to find the same skillset in the market. So much feels dependent on some executive - a SVP or above making calls based on biases and their relationships with people and not trying to future proof our company.
If someone kissed the executive rear enough over their time here, they are being saved but rest are sc--wed regardless of their performance or contributions to business.
Are those contractors SWE's, QA, etc.? Would you consider them top contributors? I'm just curious to know.
Are you able to share what group or division or under what CEO?
