Thread regarding 3M layoffs

How many top leaders have left in 2024?

Saw a few names already, some perhaps left before they could be fired. Others "pursued other opportunities" outside 3M - meaning fired but get a formal send-off.

Other than Gibbons, who seems to have moved into the Right Hand Man of Brown spot, not sure anyone will feel secure. Brown has people from other companies he would gladly bring in if he doesn't trust the upper management here.

Is it true the leader in Austin (who's never unpacked) leaving soon?

@OP You have to drive the transformation into emerging markets and high growth markets, ensure profit margin expectations, and deliver results that contribute to financial performance. There is so much opportunity for 3M across all major market segments.

I was a 3M VP, decided to leave when the senior leadership team became so toxic that it impacted my health. Been gone several years now and overall doing much better. Outside of 3M it definitely can be better.

Big difference in “leader” vs “manager”. We need to purge the managers and hire or promote leaders.

Yeah, enough of the copy pasting of the stale Decatur story in unrelated threads. We get it, Decatur is a big waste dump.
