Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

Whole drama is actually ridiculous

Contrary to leadership we all are grown up people. We can deal with crises. They apparently are not. They need drama. Drama and secrecy have all kinds of beneficial effects for incompetent people who are also not very brave or are ready to take high compensations while not so ready to take the responsibility for their decisions and actions. Drama and secrecy are most definitely useful to people who are scheming in the background. They may end up with a lot of money, but they will surely earn no respect. Pathetic, really.

Agreed. Karma will catch up to them. Unfortunately we don’t have time for karma, we have to skill ourselves up become marketable and prepared for the next wave. These people in leadership roles, not leaders, are very closed minded and blinded by their avarice and megalomania.
And to those 2 negative commenters, we pity you very much. You feel entitled enough to come onto the page of your former employer to complain about something not affecting you. You do NOT matter!
We as TIAA employees are valuable and can become even more marketable so that we when find ourselves in situations like this again, we can take control of our own future.
Like Chappelle said, “It like getting into an Uber and finding crack pipe in the passenger seat beside your driver.”

I’ve posted this before and it got deleted so I’m sure this will be too, but I’ve never seen a more entitled group of employees. This is a self inflicted wound brought about by years of complaining and entitled mindsets. I’m a former employee and what I read from people here from current employees is disgusting.

Hard disagree… yall complain no matter what. Tell us early? Mad. Tell us late? Mad. Tell us anything that doesn’t let us work from home 100% of the time? Mad. People talking openly about working maybe 3hrs a week and then raise cain that the company is making business decisions without asking them. News flash. That’s not how things work and not sure why people here think they should have a say in top of the house business decisions. This company is crazy but the more I read the more I think it’s because of all yall.
