How can we retaliate?

I believe we should respond in some way. Shastri, his team, and the board who approved this need to understand the impact of their decisions. We’re not commodities to be traded at will. This feels like being auctioned off to a new master in a slave market. We should explore all options. As a group, we need to find ways to make things difficult for Accenture. If we simply proceed with training their people, we could soon find ourselves out of jobs, especially with the significant salary disparities.

Here's one way to tangibly retaliate (even if it's a drop in the bucket). Move every penny of your retirement $$$ you can out of this company after you leave.

Retaliate? This is a business!!! It's happening and has been happening for years... regardless. If they have to cut expenses to save the company so be it. Get over it. It's life. Take it or leave it.... your choice!

First, I want to say TIAA is a great company and it’s sad to see this kind of thing. It’s sad to see TIAA is apparently in a difficult financial predicament. That said, I believe we are entitled to severance of 2 weeks pay per year for each year worked. If that’s denied, that could be a class action. Don’t sign your rights away. Consult an attorney first.

You all are a riot. If you wanna control the company, you should have gotten promoted to the EC. If you didn't, then you don't get to tell the company what to do. This isn't illegal and it's not even uncommon.

So what you're complaining about is that the company made this business decision and made sure to give more protection to impacted employees than the rest of us get? Sounds like an evil company!

If you're really getting to go to another company, shouldn't you be thrilled given how much you hate TIAA?

What the heck are you talking about? There is no retaliation and there is nothing illegal about all this. It is morally wrong but it isn't against any laws. This is capitalism at work. You are fighting against the system not just TIAA. This has been done before.

We all know Sastry by now. He will p!mp his own mother for the right price and then if you pay him more he will stay and watch too.

If you want to retaliate you have to gather people, create signs and posters and stand outside TIAA office to make you voice heard. Do you have that in you?

That is how revolution starts. That is how protest starts. This is how unions are formed and that is how you get attention from everyone.

You aint gonna start a retaliation on an anonymous internet forum that only handful of people read. Retaliation starts on the streets.

But guess what, most people have family and kids and house payments and they need jobs. Eventually we will be quietly taking what is offered and go to work. In a couple of months all will be forgotten and we will just deal with it. They know that and they would have made their millions. In few months/years they will move on to other companies and do the same.

If you want to retaliate now is your chance to get on the streets and protests. If you want to be Rosa Parks you also should be ready to sacrifice yourself so you can improve lives of people around you. Those days when we use to find people like MLK, Rosa and Gandhi are long gone. People arent built like that any more.
