Many of them do not wish any LR. They do have compassion for those who are LRed.
I have no compassion for those VPs, directors and managers who are laying off employees here and opening positions in Asia and Eastern Europe. These ‘antholes’ have no shame collection thousands in RSUs and bonuses !! Karma is a b itch, it will get them soon.

Not all, but most, at their team / group.
Sometimes you work in a strong team (like I do) where there are no weak engineers, and then you are at risk even though you are a very good performer in the wider group.
Earning a high salary doesn't help either ;) But meanwhile I'm still standing
I prefer it than working in a weaker team that does boring work.
How many could pass a technical test at AWS or Google? A DE at Cisco isn’t getting hired at AWS or Google where coding is required and powerpoint is not used
