Cisco UK bro - you’ve put absolutely too much thought into this.

Take Liz’s approach and ChatGPT into why cisco is doing this? Or JP’s yeehaw approach and ‘ I usually don’t know anything about groups and companies before I start leading them’. This company doesn’t have a shred of thought coming out of that ELT. CFO seems to be the only one with a shred of honesty - ‘I don’t want to layoff people but I don’t know if I can actually say that with any conviction’. Twice already - once after Q2 layoffs and again after this end of year fiasco of a layoff.

If Steele makes it to ceo then there will likely be more employee layoffs - guy has shown he is skilled at doing at splunk already. Several thousand before acquisition - he may well be a corporate stooge getting cisco ready for an acquisition with key assets and lashing out the useless ones.

Again you’re putting way more thought into this whole thing than the entire ELT has so far. Take it easy and take some solace in the immortal words Don’t Panic.

Vogans might as well be leading Cisco at this point in time.

It should be obvious to everyone that this company does not care about engagement, efficiency; or really even attempting to manage processes effectively and efficiently.

Cisco is simply now a fiscal cash-cow; lead by a smaller team of extremely well-paid narcissists who have a main focus of self-preservation and siphoning as much extra ELT level options, bonuses, and other perks. The average hard-working Cisco person pays for this "leadership" style by ongoing psychological stress and worry.

The truly sad part, looking at what was once Cisco, compared to what it is now; is that it could have been so much different, based on a different senior leadership style. It just took a few people in key positions over the decades to ruin it all.

To those executive enlightened ones, the ones who truly made the big money; and have effected the livelihoods of thousands of families, mostly to harvest their salaries to make the numbers for the quarter, and to also ensure your bonus and option payout...I hope you are truly proud of your life accomplishments.

Sad story. Even sadder that governments and businesses are empowered and enabled to allow such behaviors to not only be sanctioned, but to flourish.

It is only when the majority of people say enough, I am not going to be part of this government or business system; I will not participate, that things will change.

But on the other hand, life is too easy; most people work cr-ppy jobs and then go home to play video games and eat frozen food, so we will all mostly chalk it all up as just being the way it is.

Billions of years of life on this planet; for this existence. Maybe the matrix is real :)
