The more they offshore, the remaining teams and people get more stuck. The onshore is beginning to feel like a backwater branch of some remote big company HQed in another country. We can all forget about any avenues to advance. Not that there have been many for quite a few years now, but it’s getting exponentially worse every day.

The finance folks will hear about this more next week. Over half of jobs in HC10 will be gone to be replaced by low cost countries. Fewer people here means fewer executives level positions. There is very little upside left.
OP is 100% correct. The opportunity space in HC10 countries is collapsing on itself and will only worsen. Clearly they have given up on developing internal HC10 talent. You will need to leave the company to get that next promotion as their new strategy is to hire in new talent instead of growing talent from inside.
