Fruit of the Loom has confirmed layoffs within its company, including at its Warren County headquarters.
In response to an inquiry from WBKO, the company acknowledged that it has reduced staffing levels at multiple locations worldwide.
“Fruit of the Loom, Inc., operates in a highly competitive and quickly evolving marketplace,” the statement said. “Based on our most recent review and restructuring of our business to match the demands of the market, we had the unfortunate need to reduce staffing levels across multiple locations globally, including our Bowling Green Corporate Headquarters.”
The company said affected employees will receive outplacement assistance and other benefits in line with company policies.
When asked for specific numbers on the job losses, Fruit of the Loom has yet to provide a response.
