I am seeing a lot of transition activities, is RA in the cooks? Am I overthinking?

lol - that is 35K employees remaining in the US I meant. After losing 8k last month we are getting closer to that.
It's "Roadmap 2025" - reduce the workforce down to 35k total, and then Arvind will run like a devil with his big bags of money when the sh-t hits the fan.
The main difference between Arvind and Palmisano is the former has a mustache.
It’s IBM - layoffs are ALWAYS on the table every quarter
Expect at least 2 layoffs in each of the next few years which are typically around the end of the first and third quarters. We will have to see if that changes when the new CEO is announced though it is hard to believe it will change as the new CEO will probably continue on the same track since at this point IBM only has cost cutting as its tool to show that the company is not totally dead.
Come on, man - only one freaking layoff in 2025 and 2026 ? You cannot be serious. What is Alvind's world coming to ? Surely, there must be more layoffs, not less in the USA and Europe. That's always how things go..the Indian's are a protected species, the rest of us are canon fodder. Maybe Trump might change which means Alvind might have to exit stage left, back to the motherland sooner than he expected. But Modi will be there with wide open arms and another medal to stick on Alvind's chest.
My understanding is that there will be one in 2025 and 2026, and these are not related to the AI situation.
In software there is an unusual push for gathering reports of dev activity on GitHub. If there is a report, then someone is ranking the results and then….
You're not overthinking. If you feel that RAs are brewing, you are probably right...
