UP is in a bit of a mini meltdown so we need everyone we can get at the moment...which means they will probably cut some jobs.

I would expect something soon. They have removed all non-agreement jobs in Omaha from the jobs page again.

Last time they did that, it was to create a pool for a handful of those cut to take those job.

Anyone outside of Union Pacific watching this is why there is no advancement at UP as all jobs are filled by those narrowly avoiding a layoff. The work of the disbanded position falls on those left in that group with no compensation or promotion opportunities. Any open positions go to those displaced and often taking a demotion.
