protect yourself from layoffs by finding another job so you don't have to stress. GFS is not worth the stress
Union Representation Petitions Increase by 27% Over the Last Year
How and who will start this?
The only solution is to what??? Quit?
It’s the only logical solution
Looks like HR has nothig to clap back with except with 16 year old methods. Real smooth there Santa Clara.
Instead of coming here and being major trolls. Maybe you should listen to us. The employees. How about you try to help us? Instead of trying so desperately to seem like you don't care right now, and still push so hard against unions, perhaps you could start holding helping us. Or is that just something you can't do? Got make sure that your friends stay in those high positions. Helping them get more money, probably pay you off too. Oh and you keep planning on slowly getting rid of our jobs over seas. Just my gosh Barbie, just use that little brain upstairs just a bit.
You keep trying to put the blame on us for everything. While you HR folk aren't doing anything. Human Resources alright. You look at us as we are nothing but drones. Though we aren't people. Can't stand up for us, can't help us. Just embezzling money, right?
I don't even care if nothing gets done other than forcing those a-s hats to at least listen to us. We're treated like such dogshit here, and every other corporation is exactly the same. Someone is going to get ki-led in subfab or the fab, the building maintenance isn't kept up with. They rush new hires into work that they shouldn't be doing. Whatever happen to that guy that got electrocuted? I remember. I want to be treated fairly by these damned corporations in this country. We aren't bloody cattle to be used as they see fit
Based on what I've seen last couple of years in the auto industry (big three): Unions managed to get a better salary after strikes, but the final result was LAYOFFS! I am looking at the Union's leaders: big salary, politics and at the end the workers are suffering. Crane operators went on strike, their leaders are living a luxury life. The workers are paying...
Honestly. even if you guys unionized, you'd still be working for sh1tty company and you would still be miserable.
What did the Alliance union do for IBM workers?
You want to unionize , fine - but what would you do different to make a meaningful impact for workers?
You have the right to form, join or assist a union.
You have the right to organize a union to negotiate with your employer over your terms and conditions of employment. This includes your right to distribute union literature, wear union buttons t-shirts, or other insignia (except in unusual "special circumstances"), solicit coworkers to sign union authorization cards, and discuss the union with coworkers. Supervisors and managers cannot spy on you (or make it appear that they are doing so), coercively question you, threaten you or bribe you regarding your union activity or the union activities of your co-workers. You can't be fired, disciplined, demoted, or penalized in any way for engaging in these activities.
Working time is for work, so your employer may maintain and enforce non-discriminatory rules limiting solicitation and distribution, except that your employer cannot prohibit you from talking about or soliciting for a union during non-work time, such as before or after work or during break times; or from distributing union literature during non-work time, in non-work areas, such as parking lots or break rooms. Also, restrictions on your efforts to communicate with co-workers cannot be discriminatory. For example, your employer cannot prohibit you from talking about the union during working time if it permits you to talk about other non-work-related matters during working time.
Facts. However, we all know HR is coming up in here downvoting anything that supports the employees. All while under the wing of an old former member of McKenzie. We all remember the song and dance with them during the opi--d epidemic.
A union would help people keep jobs, promote more consistent and better raises and provide a better work environment for all employees. GF doesn't want that for their employees. They want us to be in an abusive relationship to where we depend on GF at all times. They are creating an environment of Stockholm Syndrome on us all. Just so all those HR members, TB, TC and all higher management get those extra bucks in their pockets from inside trading. Not to mention the refuse to pay us more money(probably because of TC and Tb), and they keep coming up with plans for us that never work.
If this gets down voted along with OP, you know HR is involved in on it. Its like the are doing everything they can start an anti Union campaign once again. If it keeps happening looks like they will start up silent layoffs again. Not that hasn't been happening for years.
