Omg. Chuck now wants to get into the chip design and manufacturing business?

OMG, you're far too stupid to realize Cisco has been designing its own chips for decades. It's a fabless business because Cisco will never generate enough volume to justify having it's own fab.

I can only speculate that traffic management is an area Cisco is interested in leveraging AI, and it may be possible that the kinds of computations to do that can be done far more efficiently than with top of the line $40,000 chips from NVIDIA. It's the reason many different companies are building different forms of AI hardware for different use cases.

Omg. Chuck now wants to get into the chip design and manufacturing business? This guy is an id--t and even a bigger id--t to be 5 to 10 years late to every single market. How is he even thinking to compete with Nvidia, AMD, TSMC ? It took Jensen 10 years to even come up with a working prototype and he is the original nvidia chip designer.

Detroit and other cities we're destroyed by unions. Ain't nobody going to build there. Maybe az or tx. Not in mafia town

Why not the US? Detroit and many other struggling cities could use this as a revival.

"Fabless" means without fabrication. That means designing extremely sophisticated chips, not sticking chunks of car together. The US can't even make the machines, which themselves are extremely sophisticated, used to fabricate chips.
