Thread regarding Alteryx layoffs

Do you see any of these traits in your manager?

Sociopaths and psychopaths share certain traits in a corporate setting. I am convinced we have too many.

Lack of Empathy -- Difficulty understanding or caring about the feelings of others.

Superficial Charm -- Appearing charming or charismatic to others.

Sense of Entitlement -- Believing they deserve special treatment or privileges.

Lack of Remorse -- Difficulty feeling guilt or regret for their actions.

Consider the behaviors your managers exhibited over the past 90 days. How many of them displayed those detrimental qualities?

Think about it.

When operating at the VP level and above, it's almost a guarantee you will find plenty of narcissistic characteristics. That is just generally speaking, not unique to any company. They need a lot of fake charm, lack of empathy, and thin skin to get into ego & land-grabbing wars with each other.

I've actually never encountered a bad manager here until now. My previous managers were all solid. Unfortunately all the good people are gone and all that's left are incompetent, unqualified people with a talent for manipulating their way to their current positions.

Unfortunately, I've encountered those traits in nearly every manager at almost every job I've had—including here. It takes a special kind of lunatic.

The one asking OP to seek mental health help - if you don't have a toxic manager, you are one of the lucky ones. Don't downplay other people's daily experiences. Some of us cry daily before going to work. Or maybe you ARE one of those that OP is describing.
