I don’t think there’s enough employees in Buenas Aires or Manila either, they will have to hire externally there first.
Keep an eye on those Chevron job postings in the 3 locations, that will be how you find out you’re SOL (and SOjob)

You’re acting like LC has any choice to do anything. Yes, he might not have much IT knowledge, but he doesn’t need it. He is here to not build any bridges with anyone. MW has a number that was decided before LC was even hired. He is just a pawn in this whole game and will be fired in 3 years, just in time for his retirement and all the other old guys he’s bringing in as consultants paid probably as much as we pay BCG.

Who cares? Yours jobs are all going to India and other low cost regions. It’s maybe a coincidence that the CIO LC is so focused on LC (geography). LC == LC. Same thing.
LC has data in his DNA from what is published out there. Maybe he will revive the EN data team that was so valuable.
@1iam, you’re assuming the same leaders under the CIO will stick around. He’s a guy who has no favorites with any of them and will do whatever MB and BK say to do with meeting targets. Expect half the GMs to get left standing and he brings in his cronies from his old company, which will take CVX back a decade. Look up what he’s done in the past and where those companies are today compared to CVX’s technology. The guy is a doofus and doesn’t actually know IT.

Q2-2025 is when we should expect Rom. But as OP said Les has said one to many times his goal is to cut US bases IT labor by 40-50%. He brought his pal as exec advisor to help accelerate things. Look up Les direct reports and you will know who i am talking about and compare both his and this guy LinkedIn

We now have a CIO that cant even read the buzzwords from the script with the personality of a turnip. All I can say is, please put the plan out soon.

Quality is too low and turnover is too high in our offices in Manila and Buenos Aires. Why will India be any different?
Our leadership is un-American in a patriotic sense. I understand in the US though money and the shareholders are all that matter now days. They will regret sending work to India as working with MSP can be awful. The quality is just not good. It's time our elected officials get involved and stop this garbage before there are no middle class jobs yet. They might start with IT but accounting, HR and much more will be sent overseas.

Not surprising. The USA education system has been underperforming countries like India and China for decades. The fall of Rome did not happen in a day.
It’s very obvious that LC is coming in as the hatchet man because his knowledge of IT is actually less than all the GMs passed over as CIO. Chevron could have done much better than that guy, but that is not MW’s plan. This dude is going to lay everybody off and get fired himself for the total lack of knowledge of how to begin to support Chevron.
