He was likely hired to sell the company but settled on splitting it. Companies usually hire a special CEO before they are sold. One who specializes in preparing for the sale. Happened to me a couple times before. Always beware when the CEO and/or CIO changes.
Hayford is going to need all the money he stole to pay off his homely looking lawyer wife when she dumps surfer boy and gets a real man.
Hes just carrying the Nuti torch. Both can go fkoff. It was going down slowly before nuti. But nuti went full steam ahead at disassembling this company its values and pride. Nuti had no business being at this company. Same with hayford.
I worked under them as well. What a waste of talent and investor money. They raided the coffers and left nothing in their waste. Stupid allowing the CEO to the chairman of the board. Both of those guys were useless. What was worse is what replaced them. Ouch. Destroyed value very quickly. There are more than a few that need to go immediately.

Truly, the guy was a first rate clown. Owen too. Who can ever forget the town hall with balloons and confetti the day they announced the breakup of NCR -- and the stock declined 20%.
