Check da other threads. There are plenty of layoffs happening last week this week. Mainly ISAT folks in UK, Singapore, Switzerland, Norway not forgetting the USofA

WRONG! Not close to 10% of workforce.
Layoffs already started this week.

Spot on
Did your source get the axe too?
Straight facts, people wasting their time,
No one why they probably are the ones that got laid off/going to be laid off.
I know I know! “yet you are here”
I do in fact have cognitive dissonance…. But I’m here for the entertainment
If that is true, then that is just sad in hindsight :/
The site analyzed the upvotes and determined they were all legitimate, so they restored them.
What’s up with this site?
One day I see all these upvote, with comments making fun of trolls….
Then next day all the votes are gone, plus the comments…..
Then here we are again with 1000 votes lol
if history repeats its self, d-day would be 11/1
for me time to break out the champagne and celebrate 1 year of moving on from this company.
I agree with: @1aux+1uMbUgFs
The viasat sacred cows are just that. The blinkered, unthinking mindset at the top will remain “we are right because we were not wrong”
Very sad that nothing seems to matter except protecting the narrow interests of the small brotherhood around Mark, Gooroo & the slavish Exec.
Nope. The sacred cows are just that, sacred. It's you and me and the regular folks that will continue to pay for the mistakes of the sacred cows.
Will they unload any sacred cows this time?
I am hearing today that one of J Davy managers in Ops is about to cut 5 heads and another manager also 5 heads. Each represent 5 to 10% team size.
This action will hurt mainly the Viasat maritime business, in terms of post-sale services rendered and in terms of customer satisfaction, but it seems our L2 and L3 don’t care.
This is very real folks, and I only see a tiny piece of Viasat.
Just heard it from my L3 manager. It's coming. He didn't mention the magnitude nor the timeline.
The lower the stock goes the more likely op will be correct
Yes, layoffs are always around the corner with the current state Viasat is in but regurgitating the hypebolic 100% headline doesn't add any more data to the situtaion. With the minimal data my expectations are
- the VRP did not yield sufficient numbers to avoid involuntary cuts
- faster competitive advances into our core markets than expected which will result in material reductions to forecasted business plans
- the ideal time to announce layoffs is -always- right before an earnings call so the table is cleared with decisive actions so that earnings forecasts can be cleanly reset
Wouldn't it make more sense for a Layoff to happen in or after November? Considering the vrp
It would not be very anonymous if they named their sources. I just assume layoffs are always around the corner.
It does feel more likely now with the latest updates from P+C and the low stock price.
Sources? Which credible sources exactly? Name them otherwise this post is simply tedious click-bait
Good luck everybody. If you show up for work and there are "no trespassing" signs on the gates it's on!
Sources = my schizophrenia
Yeah. Right.
That makes sense. They're gonna want to report some "good news" to Wall Street before they report their earnings, which will likely be bad.
