Past 6 months have been horrible. Culture is toxic, days are getting longer and longer, and this “one S&T” reorg has been a dumpster fire and a half. We have people out here stretched so thin that they have to do a workload meant for 5 people and are regularly working 6AM EST to 1 AM EST. Should’ve taken my job offer elsewhere back in June. Terrible job market in tech rn and I feel trapped. F—k this

- I agree that the organization has a toxic environment. Someone mentioned to Athina about a female capabikity leader reporting to her who is difficult to work with because she perceives us as incompetent. I believe that leader should have stayed at Microsoft instead of coming here. Athina's response was simply, "It is what it is." I find it hard to believe that PepsiCo would allow one of its leaders to act as a bully and retaliate. There seems to be no avenue for speaking up anymore.
I really hope people mention this in their OHS comments!! we're all complaining from the same things: toxic environment, shutting up any voice that doesn't blindly agree, pushing people to work beyond their breaking point, disrespecting personal priorities and working calendars, underappreciated efforts! Disrespectful culture that shows lack of integrity and empathy.. It is becoming a h***hole!
OHS is a box check. Everything will be blamed on your direct manager and you might get a smiles to improve recognition. Sr leadership does not want to hear the truth, it doesn’t matter to them anyway. They know most employees won’t leave out of comfort, so they will let you complain once a year, gaslight the local management team, and make them feel like the company’s systemic issues are all their faults.
So many good folks have left and already started leaving it’s starting to look grim.
I rated OHS all 1s, they will sweep the results under the rug as they've been doing with any unfavorable feedback given to leadership.
After 20 years in different areas I've seen crazy things, but nothing so toxic, out of touch and destructive as what Athina and Ramon have brought upon us.
Saddly, this is a sinking ship, it will take a decade to undo that these people are doing. For the first time in two decades I am actively looking for opportunities elsewhere. I will leave for less, that dire is the situation.
It is true that the job market is rough everywhere, we are trapped.
Su-ks that you are going through that, I would get out while you can. S&T is a complete joke and no one knows what the he-l is ever going on.
Also mentioning it in your OHS won't do sh-t.
