Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Congrats to McKinsey & Co. on becoming our next CEO.

More cost cutting to come. And monetization at any cost - ie short cuts and a lot of risk.

All of you negative employees are a total, utter joke. Leave. Get out. We don’t need any of you. You all are totally pathetic.

Lots of ex BCG at Schwab. At least they are generally friendlier than McKinsey.

"you all hate him on Day 0"

Hardly day 0 for the robot. He's already shown what he's about. Don't just focus on McKinsey. Rick also has his consultant crony Tyler Woulfe from BCG leading strategy for the firm. How's that going?

Schwab's LinkedIn post has 14 positive comments. Wow.

A forum where you are identified and your employment and career are vulnerable has positive comments?

Rick hasn't done anything to impress employees. In fact, he's done quite a bit to be unimpressive. And his background is McKinsey. We know why he was hired.

Ricky is going to be Dave Pottruck 2.0. The only difference is that Dave had wrestling to guide his a--holery. Rick has McKinsey.

That's most likely. Walt is associated with the bad news. Ricky with the cost savings (good news).

Will Walt be the jerk and announce 5 day RTO soon? That’s my call. That way we can’t blame iRick

When is the purge coming . Before the ascend or after

Odds strongly favor before. Better optics for the new robot.

Walt is going to sit on the board and take even more money from the company after he already got rich. How do we get him out of here? His time is over and he has left us in a bad place

I think this could a positive. He may come in and get some younger, more diverse people in leadership, which Schwab desperately needs.

Nothing to do with boomers.what new and exciting innovations to this co has Rick brought since he was co chair with W and making his own millions. While the rest of us barely got a 70 % payout bonus .What did he do or has done in two years to prove his dedication and commitment to this company . No more ego ceo. Pay should be driven by his efforts to increase stock for shareholders and dedicate himself to win back trust of the employees and those results can be measured. Walt should leave now. Save the extra salary money and add to the bonus payout if those that actually deserve it.

The first robot to serve as the CEO of a Fortune 500. Way to embrace that challenger mindset!

To pacify all the anti boomers on here: Rick is 51: so a Gen Xer. So please find other things to whine about.

What do employees speculate is going to happen with Rick being the CEO. I am a new employee and just don’t understand the concern. I think he would want to keep employees happy
