There is an Analyst in Vehicle Engineering that does her photography work full time while working from home for the last 4 years. All she has to do is put together some summary reports when the new Quality data comes out, but basically has a lot of free time most of the time. Her position is really not needed as most engineers can pull the data themselves. She was a TWA before Covid and built her business, but it has grown into a full time deal now that she works from home full time. She makes way more shooting high school pictures than she does working for Ford at this point.
You can pull off a second job easy if your on FNF or if management is weak or riding it out themselves like in our area.
Ford does not care if their executives are on the board of directors of other companies working for them and cashing-in while they "work" for Ford. You have a right to use your time to make your life better. As long as you "achieve" your bosses' objectives and deliver what is needed you can work side jobs to improve your life. One bit of advice, never use your company computer or phone to perform other work. Ford will fire you for cause.

Liveops, Arise, Nextrep, survey, dot com are all easy money while working from home. Do just enough not to get fired and stack that cash!! When you get laid off, lemon law your ford vehicle for extra cash. file unemployment. make friends with your local dlr sls mgr and sell him your x and a plan pins numbers. take what you can. i'd tell you to sell your ford stock, but wait for it to recover from its recent crash.

Be careful driving an M-plate to your 2nd job at another OEM. Security at the 2nd job will recognize a competitor M-plate sequence and they will run the plate and call Ford security to find out who is assigned to the vehicle.

Absolutely! And if you have access to test car M-plate vehicles, you can even use company property, gas, and insurance to run your side gig! During weekdays and weekends! You cannot beat that deal.
HR and management don't care one bit, in fact they may help you cover it up even after you have been reported many times over.
