If RTO-5 is possible, how much notice would we get? How much notice was there for RTO 3, and would it be the same?
Are they obligated to give notice period ahead of layoffs?
There's a lot of speculation. Do we knew when we would know anything about options?

They’re already making “soft inquiries” with some key personnel they laid off almost a year ago…
Walt had 3 day RTO in the works for months before it was announced. He even got on stage telling us how well it was going while all long planning to take it away. Two faced EC the shareholder side that always wins vs the lying to employees as long as you can side

Except there are plans. And employees talking about something has never caused the great EC to do anything, be that better coffee, paying customers a proper interest rate or having a technology strategy.

I have met Rick twice. Both times the only memorable thing he talked about was how much he loves shopping on Amazon and admires the Tesla buying experience. I believe he looks up to these companies and sees schwab following their path.

People using the term “Boomer” as a derogatory term lose their credibility with me. This is coming from a young Gen Xer. By the way, the older Gen Xers are now 60, so some of these supposed Boomers might actually be Gen Xers. As if ages and generations matter anyway.

Schwab keeps you on the payroll for two months so they do not have to file a warn notice with each state impacted. They want to keep you in suspense as long as they can hoping you will quit on your own.
They don’t have to announce layoffs ahead of time, Schwab has been announcing layoffs in recent years because in 2019 an insider leaked layoff news to the WSJ which came out around 8pm EST, we were all at home texting each other the news, by the next morning the office was full of gossip and leadership was scrambling to clean up the mess and sent a big email announcing layoffs coming soon. They’ve announced layoffs ahead of time ever since but they are under no obligation to do so.

RTO3 was announced with more than 60 days, then revised by another 90 more when CRE was engaged. They told the EC that their perfect plan wasn’t.
Based on all the discussions, efforts and budgets, an announcement in the next five weeks would be most likely for RTO5 starting in January. After that they get into the holidays and other considerations.
Peter talked about seating capacity at each location last week, indicating they can make room for everyone. Does that mean they're going to ask us all near an office to come back?
