Expat Taxes - IEP or HCE

So I am a new expat and having to do my tax return with Deloitte and not getting a wonderful service but I am assume that’s because of the EM agreement with them.

For those long timer expats, do you pick IEP or HCE… amazing that Deloitte won’t give you details and I can’t even find what IEP stands for?

I’m from Europe moving to Africa but then won’t tell me anything on the taxes as yet. no calculation basis or can’t even tell me what IEP means…

@inj+1uIRBGpV I agree, have considered getting an independent firm to look over the Deloitte submission

I know Exxon is anti technology, but submit your question and income situation to ChatGPT and put the overpaid consultants out of business.

Deloitte works for Exxon, not you. They are not looking out for your interests.

Are you an expat to or from the US? If you’re going to the US I found HCE to be useful in getting some tax return $ back for things your home country would incentivize.
Totally agree it’s infathomable Deloitte won’t give you an idea of which to choose or run some high level numbers. Always felt like a risky decision.
