It makes me wonder when the people in charge will realize that chasing profit at any cost (which is in most cases loss of valuable employees) is just a recipe for disaster. In the end, this approach can destroy the company, leaving everyone, even them, with nothing. The irony is, in the long run, no profit at all will come from this mindset.

Capitalism has pulled the best part of a billion people out of poverty over the last decades.
You can't have the percentage of publicly listed companies losing money increasing forever. You can't have the cost of housing relative to income increase forever. You can't increase borrowing not only in the public sector but something my friends on the right as well as left have never heard of called the private sector forever. You can't create infinite growth with finite resources.
Capitalism is destruction. It's great at small scales when it cleans out companies which aren't performing, and bad when it ultimately leads to full economic collapse. It can't distinguish between the two extremes which means in the long run societies too dependent on it will fail. If you want a stable system which both allows for innovation as well as social stability, you need not only a fusion of economic ideas but a massive cultural shift to value something other than just money. As noted elsewhere, there is no such thing as a naturally occurring middle class.
Gen-Z (actually, likely a millennial) that has to relearn the lessons of history about socialist economics. If it's not "capitalism" then what is the answer? Capitalism has pulled the best part of a billion people out of poverty over the last decades. Compare with countries that resist capitalism and figure out where you'd rather live.

Cisco made customers, employees and investors plenty of money during their heyday and their gear still has a significant presence around the world. That's not exactly nothing.
It's time for the likes of Arista with a single OS and programmatic interface to lead. It's not that Cisco didn't see this coming. Cisco spent enormous sums of money and failed spectacularly on these, negatively affecting both short and long term profits for decades. Why should such failure be rewarded?

There is no such thing as a stable middle class, and as they weaken countries are becoming more nationalistic. They'll reboot with wars as they always have regardless of what economic system each country pretends to use.
Apple is the only one keeping most of the hardware development and software development local, easy to work and productive. That is why they are at the top with good management and planning.
Call me when Apple's iOS isn't more buggy than Adobe Flash and they make a working USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter.
Why don’t you work for them and then tell us if you can survive the burnout ?

Outsource jobs to Asia, Bangalore and east Europe.
Due to these jobs in Asia, they hire employees from the country or race locally here in USA. Look at hardware, most of the hardware is manufactured in China or Taiwan. They hire employees who know that language or from the same area. All jobs are gone and local skills will suffer. Local jobs are gone.

Capitalism is socialism for the Rich and nothing for the bottom half. The whole system is rigged by lobbyists and politicians.
Halls of justice painted green and money talking. Justice is for sale and tech companies are being used to loot all the money and get Rich.
Lobbyists and CEOs making tons of money. Common is working hard and getting nowhere.
Looks like capitalism is a new concept for you.
