This place just feels lost these days. It seems like we're moving without a clear plan. If you disagree, feel free to prove me wrong, but from where I’m standing, it looks like the leadership is just blindly making moves without any real direction. Then when the results are not what they hoped they'd be, they hit us with layoffs. This is all on them.

Just bc the direction is down doesn't mean that it's unclear. What has the trend been for past 20+yrs? How is this still confusing? If you are building and creating, you're out.
Funny thing about the corporate world, the dinosaurs never seem to go extinct.
Most likely Skydance will do further cuts in some areas and actually hire in others, depending on what their focus areas become. But nobody knows nor can anyone predict beyond broad speculations.
Pretty soon there will be no one left to do the work. I highly doubt any of the knucklehead EVPs will roll up their sleeves….they don’t want to and they can’t because they don’t know anything. Very sad. I am sure David and his Dad will see through their smoke screen.
I think there's a chance they might just go back to their old roles of just leading as Presidents of the groups, not CEO.
Just a thought: What if the Trio doesn't actually care about the company or the people whatsoever since they know they're out soon with Skydance taking over and then off they go with their golden parachutes?
That might explain the ostensibly self destructive "business decisions" we're seeing.
If so, growth and success aren't even a consideration.
Agree - the trio are making decisions that are detrimental to the health of the company and cutting resources that are vital to enable any sort of success or growth. And now it’s just going to get worse. I’ve never seen such a huge disconnect.
Agree. Sometimes I wonder who's in charge.
No kidding Sherlock ... Why don't you stop with meaningless posts & stop pushing pertinent posts down the feed. 2000 people losing jobs & you're getting insightful & philosophical
