I'll go first: restroom attendant, mall cop, fast food cashier, door-to-door salesman, late-night convenience store clerk.

The work should be exciting, however, people like TB don't value engineering positions, he treats all as a widget which can be replaced with newbies in low-cost geos. The executives/SLT truly believe they can turn software people in Bulgaria into device physics experts. What a joke, just shows how clueless much of the SLT is. The SLT is the reason GF is a toxic place to work, when in reality if the SLT was encouraging and valued critical skills which lead to differentiated technologies then the workplace would be much less toxic, and people would actually feel valued. When you are paid industry average or below and you have to work in a toxic environment where you are treated like a replaceable widget then you get the high attrition numbers GF has. Attrition isn't rocket science, but GF hasn't figured it out or probably more likely just doesn't care!
