Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Cisco = Hire and Fire Culture

Cisco is nothing more than a Hire and Fire Company. There was serious layoff in our team and we hired 2-3 people at the same time in exchange.

Worst , they joined only 1 week after the LR were released. This is sickening.

When I have seen this, the new hires were new grads. They seem to be hsndled differently than the other employees.

understand how OpEx vs Capex works and you'll understand why this is possible. OpEx is reduced but Capex allows managers to hire at the same time.

This has been happening for 16 [23] years at Cisco.

FTFY.

Stick around for the next layoff where people here will be up in arms about Cisco's first layoff again. At this point Cisco = NoLongTermMemory.

The new hires won’t last either. It’s a revolving door at Cisco.
