Another path to headcount reduction?

Nothing beats a really shi**y commute to work to start your day at EMHC. I think leadership has jumped on that idea by telling maintenance to add to our misery by not fixing our traffic signals. How can two lights on the primary entrance into campus be broken? One has been flashing red for a month. Another has been in a always red mode for 3 months. This is getting almost as abrasive as the 1 ply toilet paper in the bathroom.

Try working in Baton Rouge! It’s either 59 degrees in the offices or sweltering 96 degrees

Those lights and stop signs on private property are merely suggestions, not real. If you get into an accident there, the police can't write you a ticket because it's private property. Knowing that, I just cruise right through and let others sort out what to do. If they hit me, I have the documented traffic light malfunction to blame... Plus it happened on company property. Use it to your advantage!

They’re waiting on the parts for those traffic lights that are coming in from India.

Waiting for the guy who keeps saying that if you can WFH then your job goes to India to show up on this thread, as if offshoring wasn’t already happening for thirty years before Covid.

And yes, RTO mandates are headcount reduction exercises. The “id--t” in the C-suite knows exactly what he’s doing.

Also - the Nature parking garage space counter has been messed up for months. Numbers of available spaces never change. I submitted a ticket a month ago, and they finally acted on the ticket this past week by cancelling it. Nice!

This is just symptomatic of the amateurs running the company now, the lack of professionalism is embarrassing.

How does management reconcile their tolerance for broken traffic signals with their hyper-aggressive safety policy? Seems inconsistent.
