Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

It is a sh-t show!!

It is so visible that no one in my team is working. Everyone is mostly on DND and do not respond to messages. Never seen such a culture in Cisco. 3 people in team impacted. Workload is increasing and bonus was a joke

Sorry to disappoint you but they will find jobs, because they all move together as a sht team and settle someplace else. They are capable of lying, faking, k a* so they can do anything and many things that you may not like, may not be ethical but do they care? does it matter? lol

I always wondered how they find time to spend hours in the game room. still wondering. :)

It's always been a sh-t show!! I have seen it starting 2012 when I joined this comp.

Not everyone worked there because it's a retirement home built by dash managers and directors, who make that 2% of the smart peeps work and they relax and party!
Literally party. Did you go to any of those company paid individual team parties in the evenings? Only dudes join the party, others who don't belong in the clan are ignored, discouraged, and become invisible among the crowd and these peeps don't show up another time.

Yes, most of them are always on DND and do not respond to messages because they have no skills and no answers. They have to hunt down those who have answers, and copy-paste the answers so it takes time to respond. How many PMs does a team need? Every other head is a PM, and the teams are filled with same clan, some on contract basis, sitting on payroll for years, using loop holes, changing the recruiting agency name and continuing and breaking the policy of limits on contracting same peeps. Perm peeps are all PMs, who are all friends outside the company. I have even seen a contractor managing the full-timers for years, just because this person is connected to lead heads on the team. Totally corrupted.

You must be one of those actually doing the job so workload is increasing. Bonus never existed for me in the 6+ years of working there. Yes, zero bonus. Got a promo after 4 years, when I told them I will be leaving.

If you are good and looking to grow, this is not the place. I realized it only after I got laid off. I was top performer on the team, worked without RSUs, zero bonus, zero pay increase, except that one promo. I was in the lay off list just because I was not in their friends list. seen analysts who dash dash, quickly moving up to Sr director level within couple years. Where are the rules, ethics, culture?

The problem is, all these peeps if and when they are laid off, go as a group and settle in other companies and you will be surprised how they all flock together again and continue the culture there.
