I want to love my job, but as I sit here while perpetually waiting to get laid off, it’s hard to imagine things being much worse anywhere else. I mean, even fast food joints promote people who do good work, they certainly don’t lay them off. IBM, on the other hand, seems more interested in finding reasons to get rid of you. It gets tiring after a while.

if you think you are next in line to be laid off, you probably are not wrong - the only exception to this rule is if you are Alvind, in which case only the id--ts on the IBM board can fire your azz.
