Grateful to still have a paycheck but I absolutely hate it here. I despise “leadership” and their awful decisions and I’m disgusted how good, smart, hardworking people have been treated. I will leave as soon as humanly possible and I am certain I will feel infinitely better when I do.

i'm quiet quitting and waiting for next LR
...pick up the slack of the thousands of people who will leave on their own...
We've been hearing this song for 23 years and it never happened even under much better economic circumstances. If it were to happen Cisco saves hundreds of millions on layoff packages.
Right there with you.
Hopefully you find an ideal job before the next LR in 2025 and you have to settle for anything. Best of luck.
Some of us here escaped a long time ago and have been telling you how to take control of your own career and improve your situation. It's not just that few ever do but even the suggestion is strongly down voted confirming the majority sentiment.
As someone still in the networking BU, what then are we supposed to do to pick up the slack of the thousands of people who will leave on their own accord in addition to LR? The quotas are MASSIVE. In what world do we hit these numbers without…people?
My fav movie dialogue is from The good the bad the ugly, by ugly - when you want to shoot, shoot , don’t talk - and he says this after he shoots a guy! So that should be the plan in life too - not about g-n violence but act first and don’t talk about acting! I think the hidden message with the current LR is attrition - they expect at least a thousand to leave over the next 6 months globally - that’s why the cuts have been lower than expected in some of the business areas! The unwanted first child - networking hasn’t been hit as hard as expected, because they need to save cost on severance!
Whining gets you nowhere
Can confirm! I was not LR but I have been interviewing for months and finally got an offer at a new company. I fully felt how you are feeling and remembered the I don't HAVE to work for Cisco. I know the job market is tough, and with constantly growing expectations from Cisco it can feel like ELT has a g-n to your head, but I promise there is something out there for you if you start looking while you're still employed. Value yourself more than Cisco has, and give yourself the gift of a new life with a new job! Good luck to you
