The stock closed at $7.28 today up 9.3%. The best explanation for the 7X price rise since July is the company is close to being purchased. The AI stuff is probably BS. I'll go out on a limb and guess Microsoft.

Lumen owns more conduit than anyone else in the US. Thats going to translate into money for the company. So for you to say the company has nothing of real value shows what kind of know nothing joker you are.

Dark fiber makes no money, just like their Black Lotus Labs. Doesn't matter if they own 60% of all the fiber, if there's no customer paying for the light then all Lumen has is a warehouse of goods that nobody wants to pay for. It's about the same as BigLots.

The stock price means nothing. There are no buyers looking at Lumen and saying "wow, look at their stock price soar, they must be doing something good, lets buy it". Lumen has nothing of real worth, it has nothing that's not already out there for much less. Everyone on earth can partner with MS or Oracle or Google or AWS or any other slew of places that have platforms for AI. Lumen is not the only name when it comes to fiber. Only delusional thinkers believe Lumen has something of real value to offer. Lumen is in fact in a transitory period, moving from one set of garbage to the next. Just look at where the old garbage products have gone, and look at all the new garbage that has come.
The union has zero say in anything related to a sale.
maybe mass markets to google ??
You can't say AI stuff is BS and Microsoft is going to buy them. Those 2 events are incongruent.
local/mass markets will be spun off/sold first.
Hmmm....sounds like the OP knows something. Seems like more than a reach.
In the event of a buyout the union (cwa) (ibew) have a say in new owner. I would imagine they would want a new contract to go with the new takeover.
