Rumors are swirling about 3M taking away Work your Way. Anyone able to confirm management will take away yet another benefit?

The work ethic back in the day at 3M was incredible. People would arrive bright eyed and ready in the production plants and labs every day at 7 AM. Work hard till 5 and then go hang out at Tartan for 9 holes of golf or the bar and get sloshed. People even met their future significant other in this mental state. Then...wash rinse repeat. Back in the next day at 7.

Now, it's the Price is Right followed by 45 minutes naps after lunch. Inge must be so proud.

Another benefit only part of the company has. Quit your complaining about a selective benefit that does not affect a good chunk of the company.

In the corporate labs, parking lots are full. Yes, people are using WYW, but most folks that I know are on campus 5 days a week.

Brown will save millions by implementing a minimum 3 days in the office, maybe even 4. A few thousand or more will leave and he won't have to pay the severance.

Gibbons will take the credit for this "strategy" dreamed up by Kearney of course.

So I am finally nailing the show case show down prices and they think I am going back to the office? Think not. I will show them, and quit.

Why should I have to pay for gas to go to work ? Child care now? Better be a big fat raise and a large screen in my office for watching Price Is Right.

WYW was the last thing keeping me at 3M. Remove that and I'm gone. With the number of hours I've been putting in working remote, they'll need to backfill with 3. Congrats, 3M, on your productivity decrease.

Am hearing same thing-JG16+ required to be hybrid 3 days/week. Wonder that that will work for distant remotes?

Can't confirm anything, but if you look at job postings virtually all of them are hybrid now; very few fully remote.
