Only for CISCO internal job. Like most of the large tech companies, CISCO will not and has not been challenged any one that joined another company while is still in "severance" period.

no! you're under zero obligation to tell them. Just plan tax wise if the severance plus extra income push you into a higher tax layer.

Take a look at your docs. If you are rehired by Cisco within a YEAR you will owe them a pro-rated portion of your severance.

Yes. I was able to land something internal last week, with a 9/30 start date. Spoke with HR and I will have to forfeit my severance.
