IBM is a corporate mirage where the execs now celebrate failure as success while they plunder what is left of the irrelevant company.

IBM is a dying irrelevant company, but people still want to pretend that IBM is still somehow a relevant player in the tech field, it's not 1964 with S/360.

In the markets that IBM operates, semi-professionals that work from home or expensive offices are being replaced by AI or humans from India or the Philippines. If they don’t need you, they don’t need you. Your job skills have become a dated commodity whereby a machine could replace you with next to no notice.

IBM lost its soul with the first layoffs in the early '90s and hasn't looked back

Is anyone surprised? IBM has not been a reputable company to work for or with in many years.

A relative of mine worked for IBM for more than 20+ years, right out of college. The relative now works for another organization; with a less-than-promising future. IBM started to move away from long term careers many years ago. It is still a very profitable company, but it must compete with market pressures thrust upon the firm and it must proactively capitalize on changing technologies to maintain its position in the global economy.
