We just received a calendar invitation for a tech Town Hall on 10/2 at 11:30am est, basically a week after the tech layoffs. What do you guys think of that?

I meant within tech. We are in a period of still not being able to talk to SD. I already indicated when that is ending.
Nah. People 100% know. Just not anyone who will tell people because they fear losing money in stocks, salary, etc.
Nobody knows the details of the new company and what it means for tech. Discussions are happening in October. Right now it is just all assumptions.
I been though this so many times here that I don't read anything into what it means or doesn't for what staff is going be laid off or not.
PW to be the be clear and honest with us to give us details on the transition from Paramount to Sky Mount, an Oracle Company.
Under PW got the invite and it's just the usual town hall. If you work under him you know from other town halls he is very transparent about things so I am sure he is going to talk about what happened on 9/24 and the path forward. Clearly, some org changes will come so I am sure they will announce that.
I wouldn't read too much into not receiving invites for things like town halls, etc.
They're just email blasting all current employees with this stuff, and for Tech Town Halls I think it's only sent to a few folks, and shared in Slack.
Hopefully enough people under PW who are aware of this site and are following this thread can determine if everyone under PW got the invite.
But surely it goes out to an existing DL though, and therefore nobody would be excluded at this time.

My assumption is everyone under PW got it regardless of whether they are slated to survive or not. Otherwise coworkers could simply compare whether or not they got the invite.
No way they would be caught slipping like that.
