Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

PARTY OVER people RTO

You people milked this to the end. About time vacation is over. I am tired of getting calls from people working from home can you do this for me. ME being at work during Covid getting sick while you people saved tremendously money and health stress etc. received
The same low raises but saved a lot of money doing not much. I send emails that are responded after 4 hours .Employees have been working other jobs at the same time 100 percent remote. Out on there boat fishing for the day tethered there phone to laptop.
I was in a meeting with 12 employees via on line and the manager put the meeting on hold for 45 min because he was having furniture delivered. WHAT WAS THE CHARGE TO THE GOVERNMENT FOR THE 12 EMPLOYEES WAITING TO RESUME.

I see it both ways. I've always worked on site. The people that are involved with hardware need to come in on occasionally as a picture isn't as good as getting to see something in person. That said it's frustrating having to wait a day or two until they decide to come in. Management is tired of us charging for waiting for someone to show up.

Maybe vacancy rate of building affects contractor's ability to fully bill for it?

WFH is a benefit to employees at no cost to L3Harris. To take away WFH is only for the purpose to cause difficulty for the employees. To exhibit control by management.

There’s no other feasible reason.

For those that were in the office during Covid I commend you, I did remote til laid off in April, I did come into the office, Sept 2023 when told to, only to be harassed, I did not ask to be harassed, came back into the office again only to lock my office door and have anxiety that the person was around the corner ready to harass again. My manager told me to work remote because of that, but I’m no longer there, but I do commend all that stuck it out being around unsanitary conditions and sick people. For those that passed from covid RIP , so sorry to the families for their loss.

All large caps angry goat angry goat. Looks like somebody who's about to get laid off for not going back to the office. What's the matter fat boy? Office clothes don't fit anymore? Sweatpants don't cut it in the office and they won't at your next job either if you get one.

"Many Trumpian bootlickers resent the growing work from trend."

Says the lazy lefty who is 5'3" and 300 lbs that wants taxes to pay for his bags of fudge rounds.

Maybe the opening rant was inspired by events that happened to all of us who were essential workers and could not work from home. We had to endure standing in line for an hour before our shift begin so we could answer phone apps and have our temperature taken. And we had to stand six feet apart while training each other which is impossible. Plexiglass screens between us and the people next to us. Cashless no contact cafeteria where we had to use debit cards which were cloned by cafeteria workers. That's not a lie. And to make it worst of all, the company put us on a 980 schedule so they could sanitize the building on alternate fridays. This was a lie. The sanitation is never took place. We were repeatedly exposed to hazards including infected coworkers who did die. The company lied and deceived US during the whole time. They even git us a stupid letter to carry around justifying why we were working. The letter was useless. And then the final insult to injury, is when vaccines first became available but were limited to essential personnel, the company told us that the government did not consider us essential and we would have to wait like everyone else. All of this while a bunch of whining cry babies milked as much time as they could staying at home, even after they were told to go back to work. This is a layoff page, and rightly so, because those of you that stayed home and refused to come to work will be laid off. And if you're looking for sympathy you can find it in the dictionary between sy-----s and sh-t.

Great article on yahoo finance about what people REALLY do from home. I know some folks who are hard core workaholics and they put the pedal to the metal at home, at the office, underwater, wherever you put them. But big bosses see articles like that and say AHA!!! I knew it!!! Get 'em back in here where I can keep an eye on 'em!

Back to work, you!

OP: learn to spell and use proper sentence structure/grammar before going on a crybaby rant. And FYI, this is a layoff page, not a "I hate my job, but since I have bills, I will cry anywhere" page.

What's with all the complaining?? Those who have the high in-demand skills can find remote (or at least hybrid) jobs. I was laid off in April. Now in a hybrid role (50/50), near the beach, and debt free. I've been remote in some capacity for over 8 years. WFH is not dead (well - maybe for L3Harris).

Why don’t you stop complaining and report that manager to the ethics advisor?

I feel your pain. I was in the office during all of COVID and once had a coworker excuse himself to answer the door for a delivery...umm...he-l no! If you were in the office, you wouldn't be able to "answer the door for a delivery during a meeting"...so su-k it up, buttercups..WFH is dead!
