Does anyone know about the Tech department restructuring? All I know is that is going to be completed by October 7th.

From Vibol:

Team—As the Office of the CEOs have shared, today will be a difficult day as we continue to act on the company’s strategic plan to streamline the organization.
In our (FTE) All Hands at 8:30am PT / 11:30am ET I will share the future direction of our division, how this will impact our team, and expectations for the day.
I welcome everyone who would like to work from home today to do so to take the time and space to process the changes.
In the meantime, please be patient until we can meet as one team.

FTEs will be notified within 1-2 weeks. We have lost a lot of great contractors, so I'm hopeful that the FTEs fired are the useless and butt-kissers.

The "1 or 2 people per team" thing was a minimum. The statement was that it COULD be 1 or 2 people per team. It could also be more.

We were just notified that each Pluto team will be affected by the departure of one or two members and that many teams will be merged.

Pluto is one of the profitable business units within Paramount.

The Pluto TV Scrum teams are 75% contractors. If all were to be cut, Pluto would get jack and squat done.

if TR is out, please God do not let Chris McCarthy get streaming. He is the definition of failing up. How is he still here?

One has to ask - is Pluto really a profitable platform? Talking about unverifiable billions in profits can’t really support full-time salaries and contractors. Are the chickens coming home to roost? Time will tell.

If contractors are really getting axed, there isn't enough FTE to take care of the platform.
