Thread regarding ViacomCBS layoffs

Contract ending 9/30, manager said to the entire team "contracts ending at 9/30 will be extended". Safe to disregard?

08/13 the manager posted a message that he got in touch with dept head who assured him that all conversions are on hold but all contractors ending on 9/30 will get an extension

I guess it's safe to disregard that as any kind of reassurance? Hard to work as a contractor currently. Will any contractors be extended past 9/30? Is there any guideline/process for how that is determined or is it random?

How many phases are there? Does anyone know? Or will it be done by Sept? This is so stressful .

All Contractors are getting 30 days notice and it will be on 9/30 date. Could be exited sooner. This was told to us as of this week.
