I am reading around here that they put your Outlook account on Out of Office. Is that true? Are there any other signs we could use to guess who has been laid off?

In feb/24 they did not turn that on, you can but i chose not to. They will restrict your access to email and basic HR stuff as well as monitor anything you try and download. Start taking pics of your contact list now as downloading anything with customer info will get you a threatening email.

You don't have to do anything. And you won't get any heads up. Feb. was a 20 minute 1:1 sent out at 11pm the night before, and they literally read a 2 minute script and said we're no longer allowed to have internal or external meetings. I just shut my laptop and went to interview with competition. :)
I was part of the Feb LR. I cancelled all my meetings and put up an OOO pointing everyone to my boss. I'm in sales and once I met the new account owners, I included those names in my OOO. Then took a 2 month vacation :)
How to know if someone is notified:
1 Check their calendars for 15 min meetings on Sep 16th.
2 They are inactive on Teams for hours/days at a time.
3 They are entirely unresponsive.
4 They don’t attend team meetings.
No, it’s not automatically put on OOO. You can set it that way if you wish. You can also block your entire calendar for the 60 days before your exit date, so ppl don’t try to schedule meetings with you. You can also go dark on Teams. You’ll still get chats and be able to send them, but it will appear you are offline.
Remember, you are not expected to do anything other than find another job during those 60 days before your exit date. Your “Cisco” downtime starts as soon as they notify you.
