Learnt that my Sr director was shown the door.
He was a perfect guy, but this leaves a lot of uncertainty in the group. He had 2 other Directors and my Sr Mgr with a handful of Principal Engineers. Its not clear what the new org will look like.
Any one else heard of any other impacts?
It's not common but Cisco does dispose of directors, and often doesn't wait for a layoff cycle to do it. Even before the 2001 massacre directors who were clearly failing "left to spend time with their families."

Everyone here on this fine website would love to see mgmt being cut ... and now all in a sudden ICs worry about their mgmt chain being cut. Strange new world.
