Thread regarding ViacomCBS layoffs

Plausibility?

I wonder whether the people who run this company know an this site or regularly read the posts. Do you suppose, if they do, they have an ounce of empathy for those affected by a 15% dissolution of company assets? Oh, I forgot, workers are an inconvenient liability. Their unemployment insurance rates are going to inflate even more than groceries though. I suppose I should feel for them. I don't though.

Amen to Ceiling inspector “ regular run of the mill employees have to pay the price for the incompetence at the executive level.” When lay-offs are a Failure of Management.

@2xkb+1u8SqYXB Why didn't ya quit than? In case some of you didn't know, many non-Viacom tech SVPs come from the floor level and were there at the very beginning, building things themselves not complaining about it. That should give you some perspective.

They don't care. Agree with what everyone wrote and to add to it, this company is so top heavy. Outside of C-Suite, there countless useless Directors, VPs, SVPs and EVPs that are pushing papers and filling space while keeping their jobs somehow, while the little people actually doing the work are getting let go. Makes no sense and this can't go on for much longer without the entire org collapsing. Seems to be no long term thinking or planning and the top honchos are just going to keep cashing their checks until it all ends.

it's psychological warfare. they need people for the VMAs and then they will make their cuts. just like they did in february. amazing numbers for superbowl and then the pink slips came.

The C suite folks in this company could careless about anyone below them, whatever Deloitte says goes.

It's a shame that the regular run of the mill employees have to pay the price for the incompetence at the executive level. Invest in streaming they said, it will be fun they said. Not!

I just wish if they already know why they just don't go ahead and do it instead of us waiting until 9/24
