Your boss (or boss one level higher) will tell you in person. The ki-l will be all on the same day, so you will be sitting around wondering if you will be called. Unlike some other companies that I have worked for your computer will not be locked, your badge will still work until surrendered, and there will be not be an armed guard taking you directly out of the building, so you have a little time to say goodbye. In past layoffs, some people left the day of notification but others seemed to be able to stay around for a couple of weeks (not sure how that was decided). The process has not been as draconian as some places. One place I worked your badge would not work, a guard would send you to an auditorium where you would wait for hours until being told you no longer had a job, and then you would wait hours longer to wait your turn for a guard to lead you to your office to collect your things, before being pushed out into the street.

Is there a layoff? There are no articles from major news sources.

Via email. Very anti-climatic. Long way to we get there though. Will be drawn out process.
