Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Q for those looking for another job

I’m eager to leave. I actually hope I’ll be let go in the coming LR. I’ve been sending out resumes to other companies in the industry, and no luck so far. Now I’m thinking of expanding my search, and go for something different. Where are you looking, guys? Any ideas, advice or shared experience would be much appreciated.

Its a rough time to be looking for a job given the macro political and economic uncertainty. Layoffs and "right sizing" are all the rage these days across companies of all shapes and sizes.

I have taken a two-prong approach:

  1. Casting a wide net across broad functions within specific industries (CPG / Food & Beverage / Alcohol) at companies that I perceive would view my PepsiCo experience favorably.
  2. Casting a wide net across broad company spectrum across my functional background and experience regardless of industry.

The best advice I can give is stay persistent and remember that it is easier to get a job when you have a job. So taking an "any port in a storm" mentality if you are still employed at PEP in the short run, may save you time and aggravation in the long run, even if it means making a short term lateral move to a safer company.
